Awards

Nominations are now open for awards recognizing outstanding contributions in the area of breast cancer support.

 

Awards will be presented at the Conference Dinner on May 14, 2009. Nominations close March 1, 2009 except as noted below.

2009 Teresa Lasser Award


The Teresa Lasser 2007 Award is conferred on an RRI volunteer who has introduced, initiated or contributed to the development of a new Reach to Recovery programme in an exceptional way. Eligibility is strictly limited to Reach to Recovery International volunteers (Reach to Recovery or translated equivalent only).


2009 RRI Medal for Health Professionals


The Reach to Recovery International (RRI) Health Professional Medal is awarded to a health professional who has demonstrated a strong commitment to voluntary breast cancer support programmes and who has made a significant contribution to the creation and evolution of such programmes.

 

2009 Award for Outstanding Australian Breast Cancer Volunteer

The 2009 Award for Outstanding Australian Breast Cancer Volunteer will honour an Australian volunteer who has positively impacted the lives of those diagnosed with breast cancer.

 

AstraZeneca Breast Cancer Care Award (pdf file)

 

The AstraZeneca Breast Cancer Care Award aims to recognise general practitioners, surgeons, medical oncologists, pharmacists, nurses and social workers, and celebrate their exceptional commitment and compassion for their patients. Nominations for this award close November 21, 2008.
