About Brisbane

The 15th UICC Reach to Recovery International Breast Cancer Support Conference will be convened in Brisbane by the Cancer Council Queensland.

Brisbane, the capital of Queensland is a modern, dynamic, sophisticated and cosmopolitan city with a friendly and relaxed lifestyle. Australia’s only sub-tropical capital city, Brisbane is located on the doorstep of the nation’s premier tourist region, and within an hour of some of the world’s most famous beaches, the legendary Aussie outback and Barrier Reef Islands, making it the ideal destination for easy access to pre and post conference touring.

Brisbane is a city with an innovative and vibrant edge, a modern, free spirited outlook and a determination to do things just that little bit differently. It's about down-to-earth experiences without the sky-high expense; it's about enjoyable pleasures without the pretension. And, of course, it's about a long-standing love affair with the outdoors. From pristine beaches to lush mountain hideaways, from a gently winding river to the aquatic paradise of Moreton Bay; Brisbane truly is a place where feeling alive comes naturally.
