| The The Cancer Council Queensland runs a number of fundraising events to raise much needed funds for prevention, early detection, research and patient support. Your participation in these events is so important to the success of our programs and services. |

| Community fundraising |
Supporters of the Cancer Council Queensland run many fundraising projects in support of our campaigns and official events. These supporters are dedicated volunteers who raise funds to help in our endeavours to reduce the impact that cancer has in our community. The Cancer Council Queensland also establishes relationships with companies who are willing to share the profits they make from the sale of their product to benefit Queenslander's affected by cancer. Prostate Cancer Queensland is leading the fight against prostate cancer.
Without government funding we rely on community and corporate support to continue this work. Your support and that of many other caring Queenslanders means we can keep pace with the growing demand for our research and support programs, and for this we are grateful.

| Capital campaign - Townsville |
The Cancer Council Queensland has undertaken a commitment to the residents of North Queensland to construct the Townsville Hospice and Palliative Care Centre.
At a cost of $6.5 million, the centre is the largest single project ever undertaken by The Cancer Council Queensland.
