Clip for Cancer is an event that anyone, anywhere, can do to raise money for cancer research.
All that participants need to do is shave/dye/cut or colour their hair, or that of a willing volunteer, and seek sponsorship from friends, family, businesses or colleagues for doing so.
This event works well to highlight cancer issues as many people lose their hair during treatment.

How does it work? |
|
1. Register online now, and you will receive your Clip for Cancer kit
that includes sponsorship forms, posters and a receipt book
2. Encourage someone you know to take the challenge – how about your CEO or a work colleague. If your part of a sporting club why not dob in your coach or what about getting dad to get rid of his treasued beard? Even better, be brave and do it yourself.

3. Decide on a date, time and location for your Clip to be held and set about promoting it to customers, suppliers, co-workers,friends and family by using the posters and sponsorship forms provided in the Clip Kit.
4. Seek people to sponsor you for your Clip for Cancer by getting them to fill out the sponsorship form provided. Another idea could be to set a fundraising target for your workplace/organisation/club/circle of friends with a member of the team having to shave their head when you reach your fundraising target.

5. Host your Clip for Cancer event and celebrate the bravery of your Clip for Cancer volunteers and of course the effort you have personally put in. |
Who gets to do the shaving? |
|
- An extra incentive to get people involved is to allow the person who raises the most money or donates the highest amount to perform the clipping and shaving.
- As an alternative, you may wish to approach a professional hairdresser to help sponsor the event.

- A local media or sporting personality could do the honours. This may be a way to promote your event.
- Or you may want to do the shaving yourself!
Please note:
From a health and safety perspective, we recommend that you or your representative do not actually use a razor.
Clippers will have the desired effect. |
