The Cancer Council Helpline

  The Cancer Council Helpline operates from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday. Phone 13 11 20 (toll free).

The Cancer Council Helpline is staffed by trained professionals who have knowledge about cancer and cancer care.  They are there to help you with information, support and referrals to services throughout the state.  

The Cancer Council Helpline is available from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday and can be contacted by phone, fax, email, post or in person.

Our Helpline staff can assist with:

  • Information about cancer and cancer treatments;
  • Support in coping with cancer;
  • Referrals to cancer care and support services throughout the state; and
  • Links to other cancer information websites.

The Cancer Council Helpline is often the first point of access for Queenslanders seeking information or support about cancer.

People contact our Helpline for:

  • ·         Practical support;
  • ·         Prevention and early detection concerns, such as assistance to stop smoking;
  • ·         Requests for publications and resources;
  • ·         To talk about diagnosis, treatments, and to seek counselling; and
  • ·         General enquiries about The Cancer Council Queensland activities.

People who contact our Helpline have experienced all types of cancers, including breast, lung, prostate, skin and colorectal cancers.
